Strawberry Rum Punch

I love a cocktail recipe, especially rum pitcher drinks, that can be made in a pitcher and easily served throughout the night with just a quick pour! And this Strawberry Rum Punch is just one of those cocktails. No blender needed!

Pitcher drinks simply make life so much easier when serving a crowd over for the evening. No need to measure and mix ingredients for each individual drink. Just make a batch and relax!

Strawberry-Lime-Rum-Punch-Drink-Ingredients

  • Ginger Ale:  Rum punch with ginger ale gives this drink the added touch of sweetness and sparkle and it’s what makes this drink so tasty.
  • Frozen Drink Mixes:  Frozen limeade for the bright citrus flavors and frozen strawberry daiquiri mix for sweet strawberry goodness.
  • Fresh Fruits:  Lemon, limes and strawberries.
  • Liquor:  Rum, of course! Spoiler alert – we tried it with other liquors and loved it too.

How To Make Strawberry Rum Punch

  1. In a large pitcher, combine Ginger Ale, Limeade and Strawberry Daiquiri mix.
  2. Stir until all the frozen ingredients melt and are completely mixed with the Ginger Ale.
  3. Slice one end of your lemon and limes and squeeze a little extra fresh juice into the mixture.
  4. Now you can slice the fruit into lemon and lime wheels and add them to the mixture.
  5. Take your strawberries and slice them into thirds and add to the mixture.
  6. Remember to save a few strawberries and lime slices for garnish.
  7. Mix in rum and you’re done! (but make sure you check out the various liquor options we also liked below).

Tip:  If you’d like to give your guests a choice of liquors:

  • Leave out the rum in the above recipe and let your friends choose their favorite liquor.
  • To mix, add 1 1/2 shots of their chosen liquor to a glass of ice and then fill with the Strawberry Lemon-Lime mixture.

Strawberry Rum Punch Liquor Variations:

To test out this strawberry rum punch recipe, I invited some friends over for a girl’s day by the pool. There were 5 of us ladies, so of course several of us wanted to try something different! Feel free to turn this strawberry rum drink into your favorite liquor variation.

We found the Ginger Ale, strawberry lemon-lime concoction to be incredibly versatile and tasted great with several different liquors.

  • Spiced Rum: Two of the ladies decided to punch up their Rum Punch with a spiced rum and both were happy with the results. So, feel free to substitute the light rum with a spiced rum to give this recipe a little extra kick.
  • Vodka: I wanted to compare rum vs vodka and found that I enjoyed the light rum and the vodka equally. Vodka was maybe slightly less sweet, but with both liquors, the base mixture is the primary flavor I tasted. So, if you’d rather make this into a vodka punch, go for it!
  • Tequila: Although we didn’t try it, we all agreed this strawberry rum punch could just as easily be made into a Tequila punch.

So, make it with your favorite liquor … I don’t think you can go wrong!
