Flowing into the Margaritaville gift shop area you will find the latest in tropical attire and decorative items to bring a piece of paradise home. The “Hammock Parrot dual tiki torch” and the famous Maragaritaville Adirondack chair, now made into a candle holder, are just a few unique items that you’ll  discover.

Looking for a delicious casual meal? The famous “Cheese Burger in Paradise” is served up in the Margaritaville restaurant. Living up to the song lyrics the resort offers you a burger in paradise. The very roomy Margaritaville includes indoor and outdoor dining with its large patio seating turning into a hollowed out ship to dine in nautical style. Taking a tropical stroll around both pools and lush landscape, the paths lead you out on the board walk to find the Lone Palm Bar inviting you into it’s ocean side thatch hut for a libation and even more food choices. Out toward the beach is the Margaritaville Beach Shack where jet ski, cabanas, chaises and umbrellas are just a few items on the list of rentals you can use for your beach needs and desires.

Looking back on the resort you find a nice setting of umbrella tables next to a very cool Air Stream serving up all your Margaritaville food favorites. The “Floridays” air stream restaurant offers you a close and personal experience on Hollywood’s famous beach boardwalk. Enjoy your cocktails and nibbles while bicycles, roller blades and walkers stroll across your ocean breeze view. You can also see and hear the new Margaritville and Hollywood FL. band stage from this cozy beach camp site.

Just around the corner you can enjoy beach shopping at the Margaritville Beach Shop located in the Margaritville Hollywood square. Head upstairs to LandShark Beach Grill for the famous Bahama breezes coming off the Atlantic ocean as you enjoy delightful specialty cocktails like Tranquil Waters, original Margarita and Where’s the Party.

Margaritaville Hollywood Hotel Drinks

We enjoyed our views of the resort pools, beach, band shell and the many unique folks passing by on the boardwalk. The view of the resort and open to the public “Flow Rider” gives many visitors a chance to ride the waves on a wave board or surf board while watching the ocean from a far. It is very entertaining and after a couple of specialty drinks the Flow Rider looks pretty easy for all ages.

Continuing our walk around the resort I enjoyed seeing a Parakeet Corner Care center, Activities Desk and over sized games set out for guests as they kick back to enjoy the resort lifestyle. On the 11th floor is the License to Chill Bar serving up food, cocktails and another pool all to enjoy penthouse views of the Atlantic ocean. There is also a full service “St. Somewhere Spa” for that extra exclusive relaxing moment when you just want to be pampered.

Before you head back to valet or the parking garage cross A1A to enjoy “It’s 5o’clock Somewhere” located on the beautiful inner coastal. The open air pavilion and tropical setting is the perfect spot to enjoy an evening of food, cocktails and a water taxi ride around the water ways of Ft. Lauderdale. “It’s 5 O’clock Somewhere” bar is a pickup and drop off stop on the water taxi route circling around to the many other restaurants and bars in the area allowing you to have boat drinks as you float to your next destination.

There is just so much to enjoy about this beautifully placed beach resort. Nestled in the middle of a large populated area, it still gives you the “I am on an island vacation” feeling as you escape to St. Somewhere in the tropics of Margaritaville.

I live close to A1A and love this stretch of road that leads me to so many adventures! I'm perfectly situated between my two wonderful children. I love to visit my daughter in the FL panhandle and my son in Key West. I'm a Parrot Head and I love Trop Rock music!
