Trop Rockin’ Magazine Hosts “Tuesday on the Island” Happy Hour

Trop Rockin’ Magazine’s Key West experiences just keep getting bigger and better! Thanks to all of you who have been attending our “Tuesday on the Island” reader appreciation party for the last four years! We have grown in such a large way that we needed to relocate to a larger venue on the water front at the Conch Republican Seafood Company.

The CalypsoNuts, James “Sunny Jim” White and Brent Burns opened up the musical sounds welcoming us to the island. Steel drums, dancing and buy one get one free drinks made for the perfect Happy Hour with all our friends.

This year as part of our giveaways we passed out the “official” pin that states you are apart of the “Paradise Crew!”  Travel, Music, Food, Cocktails and Events is what we try to bring to your everyday reading escape time, but it is a real treat to share all of the fun with you in fabulous Key West.

Parrot Head Phriends came out to support us in large numbers this year. You made us smile, arriving wearing your TropRockin.com t-shirts prepared to party! It was really nice to see so many of you liking the new styles of shirts this year and really awesome to see so many of our shirts all over the island!

Your support of Trop Rockin’ Magazine is support for Trop Rock music as a whole and the artists we promote year round to assist in helping both the artists and the genre be a success!

We had an amazing turn out of “Paradise Crew” members and artists hanging out for some real island time, enjoying a breezy evening at one of the most famous spots in Key West. Nice to chat, dance and have a cocktail with so many folks that love “Living the Life” with Trop Rockin’ Magazine. It is always nice to have a place to dance with a few hundred friends, right?

The “Trop Rockin’ Gals” want thank all who volunteered (special thanks to Karen & Bill Stewart, Bonnie & Dave Rothenbuecher and Sue Kermis) and all attendees of the 2016 “Tuesday on the Island Party” – We are always grateful for your continued support and loyalty.

If you weren’t there live, we hope you heard the live broadcast on Radio A1A and we hope you’ll make it next year!

We are in the planning stages for 2017 “Tuesday on the Island Party,” so make plans to join us Oct.31 in Key West as we reunite you, the “Paradise Crew,” for our 5th Annual “Tuesday on the Island” Happy Hour!

Jack Mosley “Symphony of the Sea” Sun Set Sail
Hosted by Trop Rockin’ Magazine

Sunset cruises are such a relaxing experience from the time you set sail with the harbor and island views leading you out to that perfect Key West sunset. The sails leave out daily all year around, weather permitting. A true must to have on your Key West adventure list of things to do. The Trop Rockin’ Gals enjoyed this adventure 4 years ago with a small group and brought the sunset sail experience back this year offering two different sails and Trop Rock styles to chose from.

Wednesday’s wonderful sail included endless Champagne-Beer-Wine and Jack Mosley made this exclusive sunset sail a “Hell of a Ride.”

We had some “Time on the Water” with one of Trop Rock’s most talented songwriters Jack Mosley. I personally admitted after years of enjoying Jack’s boat, ocean walks and aquatic connected songs – This sunset sail was epic for all who joined us! Witnessing Jack Mosley share his songs while sailing around Key West made all the lyrics become so surreal. “Headin’ South” whirling through the air as the “Paradise Crew” aboard danced and held their drinks up high.

Truly a new experience for all aboard as Jack was asked not to sing any sunken ship songs by our fearless Fury Captain, Bill. Jack did perform his newest song for us, allowing a chance to remember songwriters, artists and musicians that have left this world touching Jack so much that he poured his personal feelings and memories in the creation “For the sake of the Song.”

Lyrics of laughter and sing-a-longs with Jack Mosley will be a memory to treasure for a lifetime. The worst part of the sail was leaving the boat and the party in paradise moment. This was truly a rare experience sharing a private cruise with friends and Jack Mosley in Key West. “Livin’ the Salty Life” on a sunset sail with Jack Mosley was simply priceless.

Thom Shepherd & Coley McCabe Sunset Sail
Hosted by Trop Rockin’ Magazine

Thursday brought about another beautiful day in Key West and another Trop Rockin’ Magazine hosted sunset sail with none other than the Thom Shepherd & Coley McCabe Duo.

The “Paradise Crew” once again set sail and we headed out into the open waters with new and old phriends. Another evening of unlimited beer-wine-champagne made for the best Trop Rockin’ happy hour on the water.

Thom and Coley took turns singing their songs. We sang along and danced through the sunset to Coley’s “Meeting of the Minds” and “I Am Woman.” Thom kept us in the sailing theme with songs from his new album “Saltwater Cowboy.”

It was hard to let the evening end as we landed back at the dock. So much magic happens when you’re out on the water and we are truly blessed to have been able to spend those twilight hours with amazing music and phriends.
