Captain Hiram’s is a relaxing waterfront resort situated on the intracoastal waterway looking across to Sebastian Inlet located on the east coast of Florida. The resort offers a full Marina making this a boaters and land lovers paradise for anchoring down for food, live music and plenty of aquatic fun.
Florida vacationing like this is classified as “Island Time.” You only need to leave the resort to explore the historic Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge, golfing, or white sandy walks on the lovely Sebastian beaches.
Food lovers will enjoy the locally sourced seafood served at all Captain Hiram’s restaurants. Blackfins Riverfront Grill offers unique dishes like “Dirty Oysters,” freshly shucked oysters topped with hot sauce, sour cream, caviar and onions. For a scrumptious sandwich order up a “Cindie’s Ultimate Lobster Rolls” or fill up on the fried platter, “Captain’s Seafood Combo,” for a mix of cod, oysters, shrimp and scallops.
The second restaurant area is the Sandbar Beach Club where you can enjoy the sand and water between your toes as you listen to live music on one of the two stages located in this multi tropical seating area outdoors.
The menu is slightly different at the Sandbar, still delivering the local flavors we crave, just not offering the larger main courses or a breakfast menu.
Scoop’s Bar is an elevated deck bar serving up top choice beverages and using the Sandbar menu you can have the best to be had. Lastly, the Bimini Beach is a special spot on the resort where special cookouts and luau events take place on quieter evenings with private groups.
The Inn at Capt Hiram’s resort has 86 guest rooms and suites with choice rooms overlooking the Indian River or pool area. The marina is the largest in the area offering 60 boat slips, a ship store and transient facilities for boaters needing to set anchor awhile. Don’t miss the boat tour of the Indian River and Sebastian Inlet aboard the resorts River King.
The music line up is always offering an array of styles throughout the year. Memorial Day and Labor Day the resort brings the best of Jimmy Buffett music and Parrot Heads together with that Bahamian feeling. Captain Hiram’s books the Parrot Head tribute band, The Caribbean Chillers, serves up cheeseburgers and plenty of tropical drinks during these two holidays. Join the fun on either holiday or both!

I live close to A1A and love this stretch of road that leads me to so many adventures! I'm perfectly situated between my two wonderful children. I love to visit my daughter in the FL panhandle and my son in Key West. I'm a Parrot Head and I love Trop Rock music!
