Key West’s Best Happy Hours in the Historic Seaport Area

This historic area of Key West allows you to enjoy sunset sails on a modern catamaran or climb aboard a schooner to feed your pirate adventure side. This area is a huge attraction for all travelers to step in the Key West Cannery Turtle Museum, snorkeling trips and local seafood restaurants. We want to share a great way to enjoy the bight while saving a few bucks without missing the boat of flavors.

Schooner Wharf Bar serving up the freshest pink shrimp, oysters, cocktails and live music on the island for decades. The priceless views are just a perk at the choice of three Happy Hours daily 7am-Noon or 5pm-7pm or 2am-4am. Dr. Bob’s $5.50 Bloody Mary, Mango Mimosa $7.75 and the Schooner breakfast menu offering traditional and specialty dishes like crab cake benedict is a great way to start a morning off Happy. 5pm – 7pm perfect Happy Hour roof top to enjoy views of the marina watching while boats are coming and going as you enjoy $3.25 well drinks and a dozen oysters/key pink shrimp. Smoked fish dip or Crab dip always pair well with nice cocktail to enjoy the sunset.

Half Shell Raw Bar is the original restaurant and still active fish market has been labeled “The blue collar local eatery.” Their wonderful Happy Hour 4:30-6:30 serving up the freshest seafood and 2-for-1 drinks makes it a must to participate in the tradition of Happy Hour. Top choices conch fritters, beer steamed shrimp, buffalo shrimp and yes their oysters on the ½ shell all deserve a multiple star rating. Step into a sea side delight with so much history to enjoy many memories here.

Alonzos Oyster Bar gracing the wharf area for decades, specializing in the freshest seafood and the largest variety of oysters in Key West. Their happy hour allows you to dine on the finest choices of seafood. Check out the oysters combo, mussels diablo, beer steamed shrimp and steamed clams. There is plenty to eat on their Happy Hour menu.

Turtle Kraals – (CLOSED PERMANENTLY)  is a nice stop after walking through the Key West Turtle Museum and around the large tarpon swimming pool. Famous for the turtle races on selective days. Happy hour is 4:30-6:30 where you get to enjoy ½ off well drinks, bottled/draft beer, house wine and a selection of food specials. Enjoy a bucket of bones with some wood grilled wings as you sit at the bar or outdoors over looking the active marina.

The Conch Republic Seafood Company is a must stop to enjoy the sights of the wharf with its vast view of the marina. Happy hour is 4-7 with 2-for-1 drink specials on the patio & bar area only, offering live music daily. This is the hot spot to kick back and enjoy your favorite tropical drink with mood music.

Dante’s Restaurant & Raw Bar is a dockside open-air restaurant where you can experience happy hour pool side, so bring your swim suits. Happy hour is Monday – Friday only, from 4:30-7:30pm and includes the following: BUY ONE GET ONE Domestic Beers, Well Drinks, Poolside Daydreams, All American Lemonades, Painkillers, Dark n Stormy’s, Fireball, Jameson, Tropikazees & Lemondrops. Also Includes 3 for $2 Raw Oysters, Clams & Peel n Eat Shrimp, $5 Wings, Bang Bang Shrimp, Hot Pretzel Bites & Jalapeno Poppers.

I live close to A1A and love this stretch of road that leads me to so many adventures! I'm perfectly situated between my two wonderful children. I love to visit my daughter in the FL panhandle and my son in Key West. I'm a Parrot Head and I love Trop Rock music!
