Crown Apple and Cranberry is the one of the best and most popular Apple Crown drinks. It’s a mix of two favorite Fall drink flavors: cranberry and apple. Also known as the Crownberry Apple drink.

Easily mix up these Apple Crown drinks like the standard recipe or change it up by using cranberry juice mixed with other fall fruit flavors. Either way, it’s delicious!

Crown Apple and Cranberry Juice

Crown Apple and Cranberry is a bold and bright fall drink, but honestly, cranberry and apple is delish any time of the year. The red cranberry juice with green apple garnish is just gorgeous! Right?

I’m always excited to make easy Crown Apple drinks that look as beautiful as a craft drink. Plus, it tastes sweetly delicious. If you want more Crown Apple drinks, try this Crown Apple and Lemonade with 4 different recipes to find your favorite.

The fact this cocktail is so easy makes it a great drink for holiday parties or simply when you don’t feel like making something complicated. Much like my favorite Peach Crown mixed drink, delicious and easy is my kind of cocktail.

No blender or shaker needed. Just pour and stir and it’s ready for sipping. No clean up either! Now that sounds like heaven, especially on Thanksgiving or Christmas.

What Does Crown Apple Taste Like?

Crown Royal Apple embodies the smooth flavor of original Crown Whisky combined with a green sour apple flavor. It’s sweet, but not overwhelmingly sweet. The crisp apple flavor is light enough that you still taste the caramel notes of the Crown Royal Whisky.

The flavor most reminds me of a mix of apple juice and a less-sweet green apple hard candy but with a kick, of course.

The caramel and spice mixed with apple is crisp yet sweet. It’s full bodied, fruity, very smooth and has no whisky burn going down. The whisky taste is upfront and the lingering after taste is the flavor of green apples.

Does Crown Apple use real apples?

Yes, Crown Royal Apple is infused with real Regal Gala apples. Hence, the proper name for this flavored whisky is Crown Royal Regal Apple.

The Regal Gala apples are mixed with water and alcohol, distilled and then mixed with Crown Royal whisky.

What to Mix with Crown Apple?

Crown Apple is deliciously crisp and mixes well with most refreshments that compliment an apple flavor. Try making Apple Crown drinks with a variety of mixers for the Fall season or any season. It’s a really good year-round liquor.

If you’re wondering what’s good with Apple Crown, here are the most common mixers:

  • Lemonade
  • Sprite or 7up
  • Fruit juices particularly cranberry juice, pineapple juice, and orange juice.
  • Apple Cider and Apple Juice
  • Coke
  • Eggnog
  • Fireball – cinnamon whiskey and apple whisky compliment each other well.
  • Ginger Ale
  • Ginger Beer
  • Cinnamon Schnapps
  • Champagne along with fruit juice.

Crown Apple and Cranberry Ingredients

There’s nothing easier than a delicious drink that only needs 2 ingredients. Well, 3 ingredients if you want to add garnish. This Crown Apple and Cranberry is made just like the name, except this time I’ve changed up the cranberry juice. Here’s what you need:

  • Crown Royal Regal Apple Whisky
  • Cranberry Juice OR Cranberry Apple Juice
  • Fresh apples for garnish.

Note: Cranberry Juice and Cranberry Apple juice are interchangeable. I’ve chosen the Cranberry Apple for a little more apple flavor. Pick whichever one you prefer!

How to Make Crown Apple and Cranberry

Step 1: Fill your cocktail glass with ice.

Step 2: Add a shot of Apple Crown

Pouring Crown Apple over ice in glass.

Step 3: Top off with Cranberry juice or Cranberry Apple juice. I use about 4-5 ounces of juice.

You can make your drink stronger with more Apple Crown or less cranberry juice. So, mix to your tastes!

Step 4: Add fresh apple slices for garnish.

To make an apple fan garnish, you’ll need 4 slices of apple. Green or Red apples are fine. Since this Crown Apple and Cranberry is a bright red drink, I think the green apple slices pop nicely for garnish.

Arrange the apples in a fan shape and use a drink skewer or toothpick to hold them together. Then set the apple slices across the top of the glass. The edge of the glass will help support the apple garnish.

This is optional of course! This beautiful garnish does make your Crown Apple drinks look even more delicious though!
