How to Make Air Fryer Garlic Parmesan Wings

Step 1: Remove chicken wings from the refrigerator and let them reach room temperature.

Step 2: Extract any excess moisture from the chicken wings by patting each one with a paper towel. These air fryer garlic parmesan wings will turn out crispier if you soak up the extra moisture first.

Step 3: Preheat your air fryer to 390 degrees.

Step 4: Add a light coat of melted butter to each of the chicken wings.

Step 5: Season with a light dusting salt and pepper.

Now we’re ready to get cooking!

Step 6: Arrange the chicken wings in your air fryer basket in a single layer. This ensures the hot air can circulate around the wings evenly.

If you can’t do a single layer, you’ll need to add additional cook time. Plus, make sure to rotate them inside your air fryer basket at twice to get each chicken wing fully exposed to the circulating air.

A great way to utilize the space in your basket is to buy an air fryer rack to fit inside. This way you can layer upwards and not worry about stacking.

Step 7: Air Fry for 15 minutes.

Step 8: Remove and sprinkle with garlic.

Step 9: Place the wings back in the air fryer for 5-10 minutes (depending on how crisp you want the outside of the chicken wings).

After 5 minutes, open your air fryer to check their progress and go from there.

After you’ve made these once, you’ll know the best cook time for your air fryer and how long it takes to get the crispy texture you want. So, next time you make these, it’ll be even quicker!

Step 10: Remove wings from the air fryer and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

Storing Leftover Air Fryer Chicken Wings

If you have just a few wings leftover and plan on re-heating them the next day, simply store them in the fridge in a zip lock bag. If you need to store them for a couple of days then use a good airtight container to keep them fresh longer. Chicken wings can be kept in the fridge for about 3-4 days.

How to Reheat Air Fried Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings

Reheating is a snap! To get the original crispy outside you’ll pop them back in the air fryer. Oven baking wouldn’t get the same crispness.

First, use a paper towel to wipe off most of the sprinkled parmesan cheese so it doesn’t burn in the air fryer. Preheat your air fryer to to 350 degrees and cook the wings for 8-10 minutes. The cook time will vary a little based on your air fryer model.

Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and serve.
