Peach Jello Shots

Peach jello shots have such a fun vibe! They’re great for backyard BBQs to pool parties and just as fun when the gathering moves indoors.

They are always in abundance at tailgate parties and since I’ve attended over 100 Jimmy Buffett concerts, I’ve slurped my share of jello shots!

Some jello flavors are a little wonky if you ask me, but these peach jello shots taste fresh and smooth. Plus, the peach gummies are a delicious little garnish snack.

Fair warning, you’ll need to make more than one batch because no one ever wants just one!

Peach Jello Shot Ingredients

Thankfully, peach jello shots are straight forward and simple to make. The hardest part is waiting for them to chill before serving.

Here’s what you need:

  • 3 ounce box of Peach flavored jello
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 cup of Peach Vodka (I’m using New Amsterdam Peach Vodka)
  • Mini plastic shot cups (2 ounce)
  • Peach Rings for garnish (optional)
  • Slices of fresh peaches for an alternative garnish (optional)
  • Drink Umbrellas because they’re fun!

If you want to make more jello shots, simply double the recipe.

All ingredients and garnishes needed for Peach Jello Shots with Vodka displayed on the table.

Peach Vodka

For this recipe, I recommend New Amsterdam Vodka Peach, which is widely available and a very affordable vodka.

All of the New Amsterdam Flavored Vodkas are perfect for the summer and come in a variety of fruit flavors. The peach, mango and pineapple are wonderfully tasty. Here’s our Pineapple Jello Shot recipe if you’d like to make another variety.

Other Peach Vodka brands available which would work well are Smirnoff Peach, Svedka Peach and Pinnacle Peach Vodka. If you have a favorite brand, use the one you love!

Can You Use Regular Vodka in Peach Jello Shots?

Of course, you can! Regular vodka with peach jello works well too, but I truly suggest you go for a peach flavored vodka. When matching a peach vodka with peach jello, the peach jello shots have a smoother taste. There’s less of a vodka bite and more peachy yum!

Peach Jello Shots Variation

Another popular recipe is to add Peach Schnapps to the recipe. To do this, use half as much vodka and replace it with Peach Schnapps. This would equate to a 1/2 cup of vodka and a 1/2 cup of peach schnapps.

You’ll want to keep the ratio of alcohol to water the same in this recipe, which is 1 cup of boiling water and 1 cup of liquor. If you add too much liquor, the peach jello shots won’t set up properly.

Peach Jello Shot Garnishes

Peach Rings are sugar coated sour gummies that make a cute garnish and round out this cocktail/appetizer idea we’ve got going on here. Fresh peach slices will work great too.

It’s completely up to you if you want to “dress them up” with a garnish and a drink umbrella.

When you’re serving these in your own domain, it’s easy to make them super cute. Plus, your guests can use the stem of the umbrella to loosen up these peach jello shots out of the container. Cute and useful, how about that?!

On the other hand, if you’re carrying them to a party or tailgate event, it’ll be easier to just snap the lid on the mini shot cups and toss them in a cooler.

How Long Peach Jello Shots Last?

What I find so wonderful about jellos shots is you can make them ahead of time! This gives you extra time when you’re preparing for a party. These jello shots can be made several days in advance. Keep them in your refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.

And of course, the opposite is true. If you have leftover peach jello shots, as long as they’ve been kept cool, you can keep them for about 3 more days to drink them later.

How to Store Peach Jello Shots

When storing jello shots, make sure you cover them with the lids that come with the plastic shot cups. When you’re ready to serve them, remove the lids and add any garnishes you’d like to add before serving.

Your friends are going to love these vodka peach jello shots. Now get the party started!

Cheers!
