What are Candy Melts?

Candy melts taste much like whitey chocolate and are used for melting and decorating sweet treats. Most have a vanilla white chocolate flavor, but there are a few other flavors available such as dark chocolate and peppermint white chocolate.

In candy melts, the cocoa is removed and typically a powdered milk is added, along with other ingredients to taste like chocolate. The best part about candy melts is the smooth texture when melting and it’s often better than chocolate for holding its shape or mold.

Real chocolate can crumble, which is why candy melts are used to make delicious treats like hot chocolate bombs and cake pops. Easier to use and still give a sweet chocolate flavor.
