Recipe Variations

Make this pineapple rum cocktail your own! It’s a recipe you can play with easily because it is so versatile. It’s easy to create new cocktail variations with different liquors or add additional fruit juices to change up the flavor.

Start by making a single serve drink with your variation ideas and if you love it, adapt it for your very own large batch recipe.

Fruit Juice Variations:

What is so great about easy recipes, is the ability to try new combinations.

To change up the fruit flavors, replace a portion of the juice with other fruit juices such as:

  • Mango juice
  • Cranberry juice
  • Orange juice

Liquor Variations:

Coconut Rum: If you love mixing coconut and pineapple flavors, substitute the light rum with coconut rum. You can make this pineapple cocktail with half white rum and half coconut rum if you want to add just a light coconut flavor.

Vodka: Prefer a vodka punch? Simply replace rum with vodka.

Soda: The fizz is a must but you can switch out the ginger ale for sprite or 7up, which will be a little sweeter.

Dark Rum: This punch works well with dark rum too. Replace white rum with dark rum and for a cool look, add it last so it floats on top, but stir before drinking.

Flavored Rum: For more pineapple taste, use Pineapple Rum.

Golden Rum: Golden Rum works perfectly well too.
