Blue Hawaiian Jello Shot Ingredients

These Blue Hawaiian jello shots only need 3 ingredients. Here’s everything you’ll need:

  • 3 oz box Berry Blue Jello
  • 1 cup Pineapple Juice
  • 1 cup Coconut Rum (Malibu Rum or Parrot Bay Coconut Rum)
  • 1/4 cup Blue Curacao
  • Mini plastic jello shot cups (2 ounce)
  • Pineapple Chunks (garnish)
  • Maraschino Cherries (garnish)

If you want to get more jello shots from a single batch, you can opt for the smaller 1 oz jello shot cups. But, I like the 2 ounce mini jello shot cups as you get a good amount to really taste these tropical jello shots.

Should You Use Coconut Rum or Light Rum?

Coconut rum such as Malibu or Parrot Bay are what makes these a Blue Hawaiian Jello Shot.

But if you’re not a coconut fan, then use a light rum / white rum. You’ll still have delicious jello shots with a berry pineapple flavor.

How long do jello shots take to set?

Jello shots take 2-4 hours to set up. It depends on your refrigerator and how deep your jello shots are made. 1 oz jello shots will set up in 1-2 hours. 2 oz jello shots will need at least 2-3 hours, and could be as much as 4 hours.
