Easter Magic Bars Cut in squares on a plate

This recipe for magic bars is so easy and quick to create. The best part is you can change up the recipe by adding or subtracting toppings, creating new variations for the seasons, holidays or what is currently stocked in your pantry. You simply add the layers of ingredients and then toss in the oven for a stunning and yummy dessert.

This recipe for Magic Bars is fully loaded with a tasty combination of chocolate, coconut and walnuts atop a graham cracker crust. This one pan dessert bar takes just a few minutes to assemble and only 25 minutes to bake.

To create these Easter themed Magic Bars, simply use the pastel M&Ms available in the Spring instead of regular colored M&Ms.

How to Make Magic Bars

Start by mixing graham cracker crumbs with melted butter.

You can buy graham cracker crumbs or take actual graham crackers and crush them into fine crumbs.

I’m all about the easy route so I buy the crumbs, but you can make your own. To make graham cracker crumbs, you’ll need approximately 12-15 graham cracker sheets to get 1 1/2 cups of crumbs. Process them in a food processor or place them in a zip lock bag and crush with a rolling pin.

In a baking pan, lay out your graham cracker crust. Use a fork to press the mixture evenly across the pan.

Next, pour the smooth condensed milk evenly over the top.

Now for my favorite step –  add the most important topping – chocolate chips!

Here’s where you could get creative!

The next step is to add the additional toppings. This Magic Bar recipe calls for coconut flakes, chopped walnuts and Easter M&Ms.

Other popular toppings for Magic Bars you could add are: peanut butter chips, white chocolate chips or butterscotch chips. Also, dried fruits such as cranberries or blueberries are tasty too.

Bake for 25 minutes and let cool for at least an hour. Then you can cut into squares and serve.

These Easter Magic Bars will be a hit with both kids and adults!
