Tropical Drinks Recipes
Hawaii is known for its tropical drinks along with its beautiful beaches and warm weather.
These cocktails are distinctively Hawaiian and oh so delicious. In fact, these three are the most popular and can be found at almost every bar in the island chain.
Mai Tai
This authentic Hawaiian Mai Tai is the ultimate Luau drink with two kinds of rum and orange curacao liqueur. Along with splashes of vanilla and almond syrups to combine all the essential island flavors into one amazing tropical drink.
Lava Flow Drink
The Lava Flow got its name because of how it looks. Using a special mixing order, the strawberry puree will creep up the sides of the hurricane glass resembling a Hawaiian lava flow.
It’s a delectable mixture of coconut, banana, strawberry and pineapple. Without any ice, this is the ultimate creamy drink.
Blue Hawaiian
The Blue Hawaiian is a gorgeous Blue Curacao cocktail with cream of coconut and rum. Tastes similar to a Pina Colada, but on the rocks and it’s blue! This is one of the prettiest cocktails to serve.
Painkiller
Rum drinks make popular tropical drinks since rum is typically made in the islands. Mix rum with sweet fruity flavors and you’ll have an instant island vacation.
The Painkiller is the most famous drink in the BVI’s where it was created at the Soggy Dollar Bar. Rum, pineapple juice, cream of coconut, orange juice and a dusting of nutmeg makes this tropical drink a dream.
Strawberry Rum Punch
This extra refreshing delicious strawberry rum punch is made with rum, strawberry daiquiri mix, limeade and ginger ale. It’s effervescent, strawberry sweet and tasty.
Mermaid Water
Another fun blue drink made with pineapple juice, Blue Curacao and 2 kinds of rum yum. It’s a gorgeous blue-green cocktail that’s goes down easy.
Creamy Pina Colada
The ultimate tropical drink? It might be! This Pina Colada recipe is the one our family has used for over 50 years. It’s the perfect mix, creamy and easy to make in a large batch.
Electric Smurf
The Electric Smurf doesn’t sound like a tropical drink, but it’s a combination of coconut rum, blue curacao and pineapple juice topped with lemon-lime soda. That’s absolutely an island drink!
Dirty Monkey
A delicious frozen tropical drink recipe with flavors of banana, pineapple, coconut and Kahlua with drizzles of chocolate. It’s one of the most popular tropical drinks at beach resorts for a good reason!
Key Lime Pie Colada
Craving a taste of the tropics?
Transport yourself to Key West with a Key Lime Pie Colada – an irresistible mixture of zesty lime and sweet coconut that will have you dreaming of sunny beaches and relaxation in every sip.
Watermelon Mojito
Experience the delicious combination of sweet watermelon and refreshing mint in a Watermelon Mojito.
Watermelon with mint is bright and thirst-quenching, perfect for a lighter tropical drink this summer.
Blue Lagoon
These tropical cocktail recipes with vodka are cool, refreshing and deliciously easy to drink too!
This bright blue cocktail is a mix of Blue Curacao, vodka and lemonade which is perfect for summer. It’s such a fun and refreshing drink recipe plus it’s absolutely gorgeous to serve to guests.
Pineapple Strawberry Vodka Slush
Pineapple and strawberries always go great together and this vodka slush proves it.
Dirty Banana
Similar to the Dirty Monkey above, but this Dirty Banana is made with vodka and does not include pineapple juice. It’s a mix of coconut, Kahlua, banana (of course!) and heavy cream.
A frozen delight that goes down way too easy. Most popular in the Caribbean Islands, the creamy banana with chocolate is always a hit.
Purple Rain Drink
Sip on this tasty Purple Rain drink, a tropical delight made with a blend of pineapple juice, Blue Curacao, vodka and more.
The tropical fruity flavors with a boozy kick are a sweet way to spend the day relaxing by the pool.
Tropical Bay Breeze
Almost identical to the Malibu Bay Breeze, but this Tropical Bay Breeze includes a little more pineapple juice and the addition of Grenadine as an added sweetener. Smooth and fresh!
Crown Peach Beach Drink
Peach Crown Royal is the best peach-infused flavored whisky. In this Peach Beach drink, the peach flavor melds perfectly with pineapple juice and orange juice. It’s one of my favorite cocktails!
Pineapple Rum Punch
Pineapple juice and rum come together for the easiest tropical drink. Top with lemon-lime soda and (optional) bitters for a super refreshing pineapple and rum cocktail.
Bob Marley Drink
Gorgeous layers and fruity taste, this is one of my favorite island drinks! Rum and fruit juices are always a delicious combination.
Summer isn’t complete without delicious tropical drinks. I hope you find a new recipe that brightens your day and you find a few tropical drinks to make you feel like you’re on vacation.
