Two Ways to Serve Your Smores Board

  1. By the campfire or over a fire pit. In this case, you’ll use bamboo skewers to toast your marshmallows.
  2. Indoors or without a fire, you’ll toast your marshmallows with a small torch and serve them up in a little cast iron skillet to keep them warm. Then use a butter spreader to scoop out a dollop of toasted marshmallows to put on your graham crackers.

TIP: You can also put the small cast iron skillet in the oven to make gooey marshmallows.

Kitchen Equipment Needed

To make your S’mores Charcuterie Board, you will need a few kitchen essentials, including:

  • Small bowls or ramekins to hold the caramel and Nutella
  • Bamboo skewers or traditional roasting sticks for toasting marshmallows (if you’re doing this over an open fire)
  • A small iron skillet and kitchen torch to toast your marshmallows, plus a butter spreader (if you’d rather go ahead and toast them first, so you can just dip out the gooey marshmallows). Here’s the kitchen torch I like to use.
  • A large platter or wooden board to display all the ingredients.

Ingredients

When it comes to the ingredients for your S’mores Charcuterie Board, the possibilities are endless for fun s’mores combinations.

Here are a list of our favorite snacks to include that grabs all the flavors of a classic s’mores board and more!

MARSHMALLOWS:

MARSHMALLOW LARGE SQUARES: These are perfect for roasting over an open fire pit. Or simply dip them in the Nutella and slap them on a graham cracker – yum!

MINI MARSHMALLOWS: I toasted these with a kitchen torch, so we can just dip out the toasted marshmallows onto our graham crackers.

LARGE MARSHMALLOWS: These are perfect if you’re actually going to toast them over the fire. If not, dunk them in the dips!

DIPS:

CARAMEL SAUCE: Perfect for dipping your marshmallows in for an extra sweet treat.

NUTELLA: A delicious chocolate hazelnut spread that pairs perfectly with smores.

CRACKERS:

GRAHAM CRAKERS: A classic S’mores ingredient to hold together all the goodies.

CINNAMON GRAHAM CRACKERS: A fun twist on the classic graham cracker. The cinnamon is delish!

CHOCOLATE COVERED GRAHAM CRAKERS: Keebler makes these and they are yummy!

COOKIES:

SHORTBREAD COOKIES: These add a buttery flavor and texture to your board.

PIROUETTE CHOCOLATE FUDGE COOKIES: A crispy rolled wafer cookie with chocolate inside.

FUDGE STRIPE COOKIES: I love these cookies! Melt-in-your-mouth buttery cookie with fudge stripes on top.

CANDY BARS:

ERSHEY BARS: A classic S’mores ingredient that comes in many different flavors, such as milk chocolate or dark chocolate.

HERSHEY COOKIES-N-CREAM BARS: Have you tried these yet? They are soooo good!

MINI MILKY WAY BARS: Chocolate bar with caramel and nougat yum.

REESE’S PEANUT BUTTER CUPS: Smooth chocolate and rich, nutty peanut butter is a classic flavor combination that is hard to resist.

CHOCOLATES

BROWNIE BITES: For a soft and chewy addition to your board.

WHITE CHOCOLATE TRUFFLES: These have a smooth and velvety texture that simply melts in your mouth.

FRUIT:

STRAWBERRIES: A fresh and fruity addition to your board. You can leave them whole like I did or cut them into strawberry slices so they can be layered into your s’mores sandwich.

  1. On a large platter or board, arrange your ramekins filled with caramel and Nutella.

Presentation

To make a beautiful presentation, you don’t need to do anything fancy. I placed my crackers, cookies and chocolate bars in rows, making sure to put a light colored ingredient between the darker colored ingredients.. Then clumped together the strawberries, brownies and other goodies.

Use empty spaces to balance out the colors and textures of your ingredients. You can also use garnishes like fresh mint to add pops of color.

Have fun with creating your S’mores charcuterie board!
