Fruit Charcuterie Board Ingredients

Here’s the variety of ingredients I added to this fruit platter

Fresh Fruits

  • Purple and Green Bunches of Grapes: It’s easier to style this type of fruit if you leave the grapes on the bunch to keep them from rolling around. If you want to separate them, place in small bowls or add the to your fruity tray last so other fruits can hold the grapes in place.
  • Watermelon: Make triangular watermelon slices. For this recipe, use half of a watermelon for slices and the other half for the fruit salad.
  • Pineapple Slices
  • Apple Slices
  • Strawberries
  • Blackberries
  • Blueberries

Tips for Styling your Board

When it comes to styling your fruit charcuterie board, there are a few tips:

  • Make sure that your board is properly sized for your space and the amount of fruit you want to use.
  • Secondly, you’ll want to consider the colors and patterns that you use. Remember that less is more when it comes to patterned boards – too much can be overwhelming.
  • Finally, think about the accessories that you’ll use to style your board. Again, less is more here – a few key pieces will do the trick! For example, I added the top of the pineapple to give the board some height.

Tips for Serving a Large Crowd

If you have a large crowd, here are some tips for serving:

  • Make more than one fruit charcuterie board and place in different serving areas.
  • Pre-cut and store extra fruit slices so you can easily add more to the trays as needed.
  • Serve along with a cheese platter or traditional charcuterie board for more appetizer options.

How to Store Leftovers

Once everyone is done grazing on your fruit charcuterie board, it’s a good time to take a few minutes to store any leftovers. You don’t want the fruit sitting out at room temperature for more than 2 hours.

Use plastic baggies, plastic wrap or your favorite airtight containers to store leftover fruits. Store each kind of fruit in its own container. Most sliced fruits will last 2-3 days in the refrigerator.

Use any leftovers for quick snacks or nutritious desserts for your family.

Your guests will love grazing on this healthy and flavorful appetizer. And you’ll love how easy it is to put together! So next time you’re planning a party, add this fruit charcuterie board to your list!
