Trop Rockers have been working hard on brand new CDs for your listening pleasure! Look for these CDs in Key West during the annual Meeting of the Minds Parrot Head Convention & Trop Rock Music Week Nov. 1st – Nov. 8th.

Dave McKenney: Sunroom Session Vol. 1
Dave goes a little bit Country and a little bit Trop Rock on his new CD Sunroom Sessions Vol. 1. Dave’s full-on country song “Chat with Jack” is what a good Country song should be, a conversation a good friend who always agrees with you. Of course, that can be found in a bottle of Jack Daniels. “The Bike Ride” is an Americana folk song with a Trop Rock theme. Riding around Key West, Dave’s lyrics describe a long ago Key West, how it used to be and the “history that was left for us to see by pirates, poets, troubadours and thieves.” In Trop Rock mode, Dave’s song “Son of the Beach” will resonate with all of us who feel more alive breathing in the salt air of the sea.

Dennis McCaughey & Tropical Soul: Blue Jeans and Blue Skies
Dennis and his band mates, Heather Vidal and Dave Huxta, will make you long for Key West with this CD. Our favorite song involves a trip down Caroline Street in Key West. You can grab you new CD at Hog’s Breath where Tropical Soul plays daily from 5:30p-9:30p. Check out our recap and listen to our favorite song on the album here: Blue Jeans and Blue Skies

Jack Mosley: Living the Salt Life
Jack’s given us a great mix of ballads and upbeat Trop Rock songs on his newest CD. He’s really living the salt life and it shows in the lyrics he writes. The title track is about life in a seaside town, fishing, drinking and the dog. Look for his CD at Kelly McGuire’s Lighthouse venue. Here’s our full review where you can hear Jack’s “Living the Salt Life.”

Bill Cockerell: Dog’s Life
Bill’s title track “Dog’s Life” is surely inspired by his beautiful dalmatian Patches who graces the cover of his CD. It’s a fun song about the laid-back worry-free dog life to the sound of steel drums. The smooth island feel of “Caribbean Blue” accented with the harmonica while he’s describing the best view in the world. Bill’s CD release party is Wed. Nov 4th from 1p-5p at the Rum Barrel backed by members of the Southern Drawl Band.

New CDs we haven’t heard yet, but can’t wait to hear them live in Key West!

Thanks for the plug, Tammy! Here are a couple of sample tracks off the CD for folks who aren’t familiar with us yet. We’ve been performing as a duo on and off for over 25 years, and have just now gotten around to releasing a CD.
