Kitchen Equipment Needed

  • 8×8 Baking Pan or Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper
  • Large Zip Top Bag or Cutting Board
  • Double Broiler or Microwaveable Safe Bowl
  • Whisk
  • Spoon
  • Sharp Knife

Ingredients

WHITE CHOCOLATE CHIPS: I love the flavor of white chocolate chips, but you can use a variety of chocolates for the base of your Easter candy bark. See variations below.

OREO COOKIES: I’m using the original, chocolate Oreos. Break these up into pieces, cream filling and all, and sprinkle on top of the melted chocolate. Adds a great cookie crunch.

PASTEL M&MS: Easter M&Ms add the spring colors and more crunch chocolate bites.

SPRINKLES & SANDING SUGAR: Grab festive sprinkles and a sanding sugar. I’m using colorful sprinkles and pink sanding sugar for that little extra shimmer.

How to Make White Chocolate Oreo Easter Bark

Line an 8×8 baking dish or pan with parchment paper or waxed paper.

Crush the cookies into chunky pieces. I simply cut them up on a cutting board. You can also put the cookies in a Zip Lock bag and use a rolling pin or a mallet to break them up.

In a double boiler over medium heat, melt the white chocolate chips, stirring often with a whisk until smooth.Pour the white chocolate into the prepared baking pan, smoothing the chocolate out with the back of a spoon into an even layer.

Sprinkle the cookies and M&Ms on top of the chocolate, lightly pushing them in place to secure them if needed. Finish the bark with sprinkles and sanding sugar.

To harden, place the pan into the freezer for about 10 minutes until completely solidified.

Break bark into pieces or cut with a sharp knife.

Tips

  • Heat chocolate slowly and stir continually if using a double broiler. In a microwave, use short heating sessions and stir well between each one. Otherwise, chocolate can seize and not pour smoothly.
  • If your chocolate is too thick and starting to seize, you can still save the day. Add a teaspoon of coconut oil and it will thin out and become more pliable.

Variations

  • There are so many fun ways to make an Easter Oreo bark recipe. Get creative and include the ingredients you love.
  • Swap out white chocolate chips for a dark chocolate, milk chocolate, almond bark or good quality white candy melts. Simply follow the instructions for melting if different than my recipe.
  • Add different candies such as chocolate mini eggs and mini marshmallows (get the pastel colors) or use another flavor of Oreos. The Golden Oreos would work great too.

How to Store

Store in an airtight container at room temperature or refrigerate.
