Kitchen Equipment Needed

Ingredients

All you need are a few simple ingredients for this creamy milkshake:

ICE CREAM: I’m using vanilla ice cream as the base of the milkshake. Vanilla bean ice cream works perfectly too.

PUMPKIN SPICE OREOS: You can find these in the cookie aisle during the fall season. They are a Golden Oreo with pumpkin-flavored filling for the cream.

MILK: Whole milk will offer the richest and creamiest texture to the ice cream shake.

PUMPKIN SPICE: A little goes a long way. For the milkshake mixture, you’ll need 1/3 teaspoon.

WHIPPED CREAM: You can use Cool Whip, canned whipped cream, or make homemade whipped cream for topping. The added flavor is sweet and creamy.

GARNISH: Sprinkle the top of this pumpkin shake with a little cinnamon and pumpkin pie spice. Add 1 pumpkin spice Oreo.

Tips

  • I recommend using a high-speed blender for mixing up the milkshake. I love my Ninja Blender, it can do everything.
  • If your shake is too thick add a bit more milk. If it is too thin add a bit more ice cream to the mixture.

Variations

Here are a few easy ways you can make dietary accommodations or add variety to this pumpkin spice shake recipe:

  • Use coconut milk, almond milk, or other milk substitutes.
  • You can also use a Lactose-free ice cream or non-dairy ice cream. For a lighter version, you can use a sugar-free or low sugar ice cream.
  • For a thicker milkshake, you can substitute all or some of the milk with heavy cream.
  • Add a graham cracker rim. Simply crush graham crackers and place them on a shallow plate. Then line the milkshake glass with a little honey, and roll the rim in the graham cracker crumbs.
  • Include a drizzle of caramel sauce along the sides of the glass. Caramel and pumpkin spice go great together!

The best part about fall is indulging in our favorite recipes. This Oreo pumpkin spice milkshake combines the best of both worlds, blending the fall flavors of pumpkin spice and ice cream for the perfect milkshake.
