Ingredients
All you need are four ingredients for this air fryer hot dogs recipe:
HOT DOGS: Doesn’t matter if you like all beef hot dogs or regular Franks. Whatever version or brand of hot dog you prefer will cook perfectly in the Air Fryer.
HOT DOG BUNS: Grab your favorite buns or for a low carb version, use a lettuce leaf as the bun.
CHILI: I love easy recipes, so I use my favorite brand of canned chili. Of course, you can make your own or use leftover chili. Air fryer hot dogs are a great way to use leftovers and have less food waste.
CHEDDAR CHEESE: Shredded cheddar cheese is delicious sprinkled on top of air fryer chili dogs. You can trade this out for other cheese of your preference or even use cheese spread.

Is a Hot Dog in the Air Fryer Good?
I really enjoy a nice, juicy, good hot dog and this air frying cooking method never lets me down.
What I like most is you don’t have to worry about uneven cooking like you may have to when cooking hot dogs on the grill.
It’s also an easy way to get a lightly toasted bun or a crunchy bun with a crispy hot dog without charring them up. You’ll always end up with a nice plump, juicy hot dog.
Pro Tip: If you have a smaller Air Fryer, you may need to work cooking these in batches. If you want a regular bun (not toasted), skip the toasting art and just heat the chili and cheese in the microwave before adding it on top.
Keeping Your Air Fryer Clean
If you’re worried about making a mess in your air fryer there are several great products made just for the air fryer.
