This Peanut Butter Whiskey Milkshake is one of my favorite Skrewball drinks!

I love peanut butter whiskey drink recipes and this Skrewball White Russian is my go-to drink. But it’s fun to mix it up sometimes, right??

Well, grab those milkshake glasses and lets create a rich and flavorful peanut butter milkshake with a twist. This is the perfect summer milkshake recipe to sip on after a hot summer day because this alcoholic milkshake will cool you off!

Now if you like a dessert cocktail this milkshake is right up your alley. I wasn’t sure if the peanut butter whiskey ice cream combo would be a hit, but the crew I was serving up just went crazy for this drink.

Speaking of creamy drinks, try this Rumchata White Russian or this luscious Dirty Banana Frozen Cocktail.

Which Peanut Butter Whiskey Should I Use?

There are several good peanut butter whiskies to choose from:

  1. Skrewball: I use Skrewball peanut butter whiskey which is 70 proof. It’s hands down my favorite with a smooth and sweeter peanut butter flavor.
  2. Ole Smokey Peanut Butter Whiskey: It’s extra smooth and less sweet than Skrewball. It’s also only 60 proof.
  3. Bird Dog Peanut Butter Whiskey: You can taste the stronger alcohol content, which is 80 proof. It still has delicious peanut butter notes, but definitely more bite to it.
  4. Sheep Dog Peanut Butter Whiskey: My least favorite, it also is 70 proof. It seems to have a more artificial flavoring taste.

Ingredients

ICE CREAM: I used vanilla ice cream for the base of this shake. Feel free to make homemade ice cream or buy your favorite brand.

ICE: The ice cubes help give you a frozen drink that keeps the ice cream mixture well chilled.

MILK: Milk helps thin out the milkshake a little. It also allows the ice cream to become extra creamy and sippable. Use whole milk, which offers the best richness to the shake.

PEANUT BUTTER: Use your favorite quality peanut butter as it is the stand-out flavor in the shake. You’ll want creamy peanut butter, not crunchy.

WHISKEY: Use your favorite peanut butter whiskey.

CARAMEL SAUCE: I love the addition of caramel sauce to drizzle on the inside of the glass and let me say it really compliments the savory flavor of peanut butter in the shake.

CHOCOLATE SYRUP: A drizzle of chocolate syrup adds just the right amount of chocolate.

WHIPPED CREAM: Top off this peanut butter whiskey milk shake with a dollop of whipped cream for extra sweetness!

Variations

Have fun and mix up your peanut butter whiskey milkshake! Her are some great ideas:

  • Change up the ice cream flavor: You can really pump up the flavors with peanut butter ice cream or chocolate ice cream.
  • Swap out the peanut butter: You can use your favorite nutty spread. Try almond butter or pecan butter!
  • Add Fun Milkshake Toppings: Top with pieces of peanut butter cookies or chopped chocolate bars.
  • Pump Up the Sweetness: Add a few Reese’s peanut butter cups into the shake (like I did in this Boozy Reese’s Milkshake for more chocolate and peanut butter flavor.
  • Garnish the Rim: Line the rim with peanut butter and roll in crushed graham crackers.
  • Change up the Liquors: You can add a coffee liqueur to the shake or swap out chocolate sauce for chocolate liqueur.
  • Make it Thicker: Add a splash of heavy cream instead of milk.

Tips

  • Make sure to use a high-speed blender, such as this Ninja Blender, when mixing up this whiskey milkshake to get a smooth blend of the ice.
  • If you want a stronger drink then add more whiskey into the drink, but if you add too much, your boozy shake can turn out too thin.
  • Use chilled glasses! Place your glasses in the freezer 20-30 minutes before making your milkshakes.
  • Double the recipe to make a big batch.

Is this Milkshake Strong in Alcohol Content?

The strength all depends on how much whiskey you add to your milkshake.

This peanut butter whiskey milkshake recipe makes two shakes and calls for one shot per glass.

Can I use Different Ice Cream Flavors?

Vanilla ice cream is most common for making milkshakes, as it is a simple flavor. Then you add other ingredients to enhance the milkshake.

But you are welcome to use any flavor of ice cream you would like!

Try peanut butter ice cream, chocolate ice cream or buttered pecan ice cream.

This Peanut Butter Whiskey Milkshake is delectable! Rich, creamy and boozy – it’s perfect for summer, celebrations and dessert.

Cheers!
